Just received this book in the mail... and i'm so excited to use these ideas to help kids memorize scripture in our lessons! I agree with Lindsey that the verses that are cemented in our childhood is what comes back to help us get through some tough times in life... and I'm always looking for ways to help kids not only memorize but understand scripture and hide them in their hearts! Thank you for writing this!!!

This teacher's book with 208 pages that utilize music, science, physical activities, and even snacks to illustrate Godly truths in short teachable memory verses. I could use some of these lessons for myself. Creative crafts and games show children how to relate God's Word to circumstances in their lives at home and at school. The delightful Valentine garland with "Love thy neighbor" would be great for the children church in February. Since they are a diverse age group there is a variety of activities and games for the children to enjoy. I know those rowdy little boys will love the balloon stomp while learning to "Fear Not." Home activities will help the children in the neighborhood carry home biblical truths. The note is non-threatening to unbelieving parents yet is a simple as a walk on a Fall day to look at God's creation. The coloring sheet for "God created the heaven and the earth" can be used by preschoolers and through elementary ages. This is a delightful resource with many reproducible pages including crossword puzzles, wordfinds, picture puzzles, and handy charts to use at church or at home. Our small church is always looking for something appropriate for Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. This book fits the bill. Bruce Jenkins (born 1948) is a long-time sports writer and sports columnist for the San Francisco Chronicle. In November, he did a George Plimpton by both covering and participating in the San Francisco Bodysurf Classic, a modest event for enthusiasts of using your body as a surfboard. Jenkins reports eight foot surf, 56 degree water, and one competitor who wore only a Speedo. Best of all, Jenkins was assigned the same heat as his role model and mentor in bodysurfing, Mark Cunningham, who is one of the surfers profiled in "North Shore Chronicles."[...]This is a book for those who appreciate athletes and like good sports writing. For those who already love surfing, it must be something of a classic. The only puzzle to me is that it took me so long to find Mr. Jenkins and his book.

Bruce Jenkins does a phenomenal job bringing the reader to Hawaii's North Shore. His comfort level with the surfing community on the North Shore allows us entree into a world very few of us will experience and his does this with an eloqunce and immediacy that makes for compelling reading. This book belongs on the bookshelf of anyone interested in surfing in particular and anyone generally interested in well-told sports stories.The pictures give extra depth and provide credibility to the stories. Easily among the best written books about big wave surfing.

With all due respect to hard-working surf journalists everywhere, author Bruce Jenkins contributes an overdue dose of world-class penmanship to one of the world's most profound human challenges-- Big Wave Surfing. As a professional sportswriter, Jenkins has covered events such as the Stanley Cup, PGA, Superbowl, and World Series. But his true love of surfing shines forth here. He captures the attitudes, lifestyles, and mystique of the world's legendary watermen, in their rightful environment: the North Shore of Oahu. I grew up surfing on Oahu, and I can attest that, for a sane person, North Shore surfing is first and foremost about conquering horrendous personal fear. Although beautiful, the waves there are huge, thick, fast, churning, and unforgiving. One must endure deathly wipeouts and end-of-the-world-type situations, and cultivate Herculean stamina to survive the hellish ocean conditions. Each surfer chronicled here has somehow overcome these odds to make it to the elite inner circle. They represent vastly different personalities, backgrounds, physical builds, but all possess one thing in common: Big Brass Ones, and the respect of the entire surf community. I especially enjoyed the interview with big-wave rider Tom Nellis and his opinions of the scene. Nellis is entertaining and forthright as he pays respectful homage to his legendary surf peers Michael Ho, Clyde Aikau, and Gerry Lopez. All in all, Jenkins does a marvelous job capturing the "Wild West" feel of the North Shore lifestyle. He's right: talk and posturing matter very little there-- in the end, it is ultimately about who has "sack" and who doesn't. The North Shore is truly a macho frontier, and in this book you'll understand why. You'll enjoy all the profiles-- Jenkins' selection of featured surfers is very well-balanced, deep, and lasting. Even if you've never surfed, get this book. You will be intrigued. And if you suspect that these wonderful tales seem somehow exaggerated or too mythic, try paddling out to a routine, Hawaiian-sized 10-foot (i.e., two-story-high) day at Sunset Beach. If by chance you live through it, thank the Lord and remember that these guys handle waves and ocean conditions SEVERAL TIMES that heavy. Hats off to Bruce Jenkins-- and I hope he writes another one!

I really enjoyed this book. Great stories from the North Shore of Oahu back in the day before things got crazy with the huge crowds. The characters Jenkins profiles are the legends I had heard about as a youngster. It was great reading about them from someone who knew them well. Ken Bradshaw has mellowed tremendously. Saw him out surfing at Castles on the South Shore several years ago on a good size day. He was very friendly and actually quite a gentleman.

Wren's Song Book 1 was the first Addison Cain story I read. The tags "Bestseller" and "Reverse Harem" sold me and without reading the reviews I clicked buy now. I enjoyed book one up until Caspian let Kieran and Toby enjoy Wren. I thought his struggle to share added to the story and after taking Wren a couple times he just let them have at her. The story ended soon after and I wanted to keep reading. So I bought her other Omega stories and better understood the world Wren lives in and what it means to be an Omega. I found this continuation of Wren's story disappointing and fear there is just more heartache for Wren to come in the next installment. I love Wren's character and hope to see her find some happiness or joy in life again. That doesn't mean I want it to be with those three Alphas though. My heart broke when we found out that Alec had joined the gang and was trying to be like Caspian. Her sacrifice lost on a selfish child who would not sacrifice his life to try to protect her in return. The fight at the end wasted when she regains her sense of self and begs at Caspian's feet in order to save Mikael. They already betrayed her and yet she will still stay and be degraded. I love Wren's strength the most, but it seems like she is just giving in to survive another day in hell. I don't know how many years she has been living in the Warrens but I want to assume she's survived by her smarts and spirit. Her attitude of let me just enjoy the fact that I'm alive and not dead needs to change to I'm smart enough to figure a way out and take Mikael with me.

I have always enjoyed Addison's books but have just finished this book and feel sick. The sex was just rape and the depravity of Wren is gutwrenching. There is nothing to like about this book or the first one at all and I hope those 3 men all suffer and die for what they have done. Very disappointed, considering I liked the Shepherd/Clare story. And 130 pages is not a full story either. Not sure if I'll buy the next one to be honest.

Omegaverse. Rh. 3 Alphas. The Alphas take Wren back to their place. Wren will get through this and her boys will be safe. But the Alphas have something else in mind. Good continuation of the series.

I stumbled across Addison on accident and boy am I glad I did. Book 2 of Wren's story is way more intense than I was ready for and I didn't think I was going to survive it. I couldn't put it down! I hate the Alphas at times but then I secretly hope Wren can win them over. The ending just about killed me and now I need the next book like yesterday!!!

The amount of times I wanted to beat these alphas is insane!Wren is strong and smart but too soft hearted. She’s loyal to a fault. Family means everything. Even giving herself up to keep the ones she loves safe.Caspian.... WTH!?!? What’s wrong with this man. I mean for real who spit in his coffee?Toby is a complete nut job but in his own crazy way he cares for Wren.Kieran is mean... and sexy... and just mean.I need book three like I need oxygen! Pretty please don’t make us wait for it.

Addison Caine does a wonderful job depicting the dark and dirty world of the Omegaverse. It leaves the reader feeling helpless, hopeless, and eager to see what happens next. Even darker than the first, this book takes you deeper into the despair of “mouse’s” life. In the next, I hope to see her twist those Alpha’s around her pinky.

Addison Cain straddles the delicate line between enticement of the thrills Alphas can offer and non consensual, gritty, and dark fare. The piece works better if you read it page by page and take the events at face value or as Wren states, "one moment at a time." This is not a romance. The story begins and ends with Wren covered in filth and mud. The heroine's a broken thing that can possibly be put together newer and better. Or not, and end up richer in experience and currency. I greatly enjoy the journey. While the story works as one glorious sequence of fantastic romping, glimpses into each Alpha's psyche was welcome and unsuspecting. For all of Toby's quirks and Kieran's mercurial moods, Caspian remains ever elusive apart from his Apex Predator/Alpha Pack Leader role. From beginning to end, the three jostle for favorite male protagonist with flits in and out of their internal struggles for a fun, satisfying read. The author follows an aggressive publishing schedule and from book one to this one, I remain pleasantly delighted and amused that this has become my new favorite series. It's not what I'm normally looking for and while I enjoy Omegaverse notions, this one swept me off my feet and left me in a period of retrospection. It's bleak with high points of sensory overload.

These three Alphas are a tough sell. They’re aggressive, demanding, selfish and cruel, but they also have (some) flashes of kindness and other good characteristics. Can their characters be redeemed, and will they make up for the way they treat Wren? Based on the author's other books, I'm confident the author will find a believable way for them to find redemption and some happiness, although YMMV on what that looks like.Dark romances aren't easy to read at times. But remember, this is not Earth. It's a different world, an Omegaverse, with different rules and morals. So, keep that in mind when reading. That and it's fiction.And Wren—love this character! She doesn’t break under their pressure. She’ll bend as much as she can so she can keep protecting her adopted boys. She fights when it matters and doesn’t get all dopey and stupid just because some hot guy (or three) can make her scream with pleasure (and a little pain).As much as I’ve loved other matings in this Omegaverse world, there’s something about Wren’s solid, smart determination and her passion for tinkering, her boys and protecting what’s hers. You’d think that being mute would limit her character, but instead, her POVs show her snarky, challenging, defiant thoughts.

I loved the first book "Identity Theft" and was looking forward to the second one. I was not disappointed as it is so great. I have learned so much. I have been studying my Hebrew roots and as a born again Christian I have learned how important it is to know these things. Most churches are not preaching this stuff and that is not good. The New Testament is hidden in the OT and the Old Testament is revealed in the NT and we aren't taught that in churches, we miss a most important part of our Christianity. I also liked "Ancient Messianic Festivals" by Dr. Ken Johnson and "When a Jew Rules the World" by Joel Richardson plus several others on these topics.

the beginning & ending are spectacular....the whole middle, not so much - unless you are extremely familiar with Jewish history & the Jewish religion. The whole middle section felt like getting stuck in quicksand - I just felt like I was getting deeper and deeper into the unknown & I had no idea who some of the characters were in Jewish/Biblical history. Even ladies in my book club that were every well-versed in the Bible lost their way & gave up.

I thought Book 1 was really good. Book 2 is better. The novel format made the book fun to read yet doesn’t take away from the depth and history of believers in Jesus/Yeshua, both Jewish and Gentile. I’ve recommended it to a friend already, with the admonition to be sure to read Book 1 first!

This and part 1 (the identity Theft) are both excellent historical information set in fictional format to be more interesting. Explains a lot of how history was changed by many people and peoples ..to separate The Jews from the Christians and both groups from the true meaning of having a relationship with God by accepting Jesus as the true Messiah. Being a student of history, I still learned a lot and am keeping these books to read again. ( I pass most of my books on) - Superb for any church or synagogue library!!!

Ron gives us tremendous insight into the early Messianic (Christian) faith through powerful story telling as seen through the eyes of a new Jewish Believer in Yeshua.

Fabulous book and sequel to volume 1, will make you ready think about your relation with Jesus! Loved it! If you are looking for a book to make a difference in your faith, this is it!

Great book to give to a Jewish friend who does not understand that all the early Christian believers were Jewish believers in Jesus.

Very good interesting book. Ron Cantor brings up great facts all throughout the book. I hope it helps christians understand why we shouldn't hate Jews.
