I loved loved loved this book. I never wanted to put it down. There is something so wonderful about seeing a character you like grow and change for the better, so I kept wanting to see Annie grab her life by the shoulders and make the most of it. She starts out as miserable, but she’s a lovable kind of miserable that I think we could all sympathize with. I also wanted to see a love story develop since the synopsis promises “perhaps even new love with the unlikeliest of men,†and I’m a sucker for a good love story. 😉 And of course, you have to know what happens with Polly and see more of her character revealed. She’s such a little spitfire — I think you’ll fall in love with her, too.
I really enjoyed this book, and the message it has. We have to do deal with life, but life is what we make it. Even the worst experiences in life you can choose to be the victim or rise above and deal with the sadness and heartache. This book has taught me to look at every situation from all sides. Good and bad...and to live a more positive life.
I really enjoyed this book. I struggle to find books that are light reading, but not foolish. Pick it up. You won't be sorry.
I loved this book. There were times I was laughing and times I was crying. The book is really well written and easy to read.
I almost didn’t keep on it this book but once I got in it I could not put it down. It make you think about so many things in life you have or have not done and wish you had. Do not miss reading this book.
This is a touching story of friendship and forgiveness. All of us can learn from the experiences of both of the main characters in this novel. The writing is fairly simplistic but a relaxed read.
Perfect book for easy reading when you need to laugh and remember what matters most.
