Algunos interpretan esto como un indicio de la trinidad. Deuteronomio 6:4 dice: “El SEÑOR nuestro Dios [de ’Elohimʹ] es un SEÑORâ€.La Biblia usa también las palabras ʼelo•hím y ʼelo•héh para referirse a varios dioses-ídolos falsos. (Éxodo 12:12; 20:23.) Pero en otras ocasiones puede referirse a un solo dios falso, como cuando los filisteos aludieron a “Dagón su dios [ʼelo•héh]â€. (Jueces 16:23, 24.)Se llama a Baal “un dios [ʼelo•hím]â€. (1 Reyes 18:27.) Además, el término se usa para aludir a humanos. (Salmo 82:1, 6.) A Moisés se le dijo que él serviría de “Dios [ʼelo•hím]†para Aarón y para Faraón.
